The New Heritage Theatre Group presents EMERGENCY, written and performed by Obie Winner & Def Poetry Alum, Daniel Beaty, EMERGENCY imagines what would happen if an ancestor summoned a slave ship to ruse from the Statue of Liberty in present day NYC. Funny, thought provoking, and always entertaining, Beaty performs over forty characters that together unearth the many meanings of freedom across Black America.
