The prosperous Greenwood community of Tulsa Oklahoma was reduced to burning cinders in less than 24 hours by a jealous, ruthless white mob. Many participants had been dutifully deputized for the occasion. June 1, 1921 a day of utter infamy for both victims and survivors. The documentary captures the spirit of Black self-sufficiency and the relentless pursuit of Justice.
